Frequently asked questions
Will downloading the same transcript again cost another credit?
No. Once a transcript has been successfully extracted and stored in your library, you can re-export it in any format without using another credit.
Does every YouTube video have a transcript?
No. A transcript can only be retrieved when an accessible caption or transcript track is available for that video. Videos without captions are skipped and reported, and never charged.
Do credits expire?
No. Purchased transcript credits do not expire.
Can I download transcripts from an entire YouTube channel?
Yes. Paste a public YouTube channel URL and BulkTranscripts will discover its videos and retrieve every available transcript. You can download transcripts individually, as a ZIP, or as one combined document.
Can I download all transcripts from a YouTube playlist?
Yes. Paste the playlist URL or its list= id and BulkTranscripts retrieves the available transcripts from the videos inside, in playlist order. Public and unlisted playlists work; ids of any length (13, 18, 26 or 34 characters) are fine.
Why does my playlist say it does not exist or is private?
YouTube tells everyone except the owner that a private playlist does not exist, so it cannot be read. Open the playlist on YouTube, choose Edit, set Visibility to Unlisted (only people with the link can see it) or Public, then paste the link again. Nothing is charged for the failed attempt.
Can I download multiple YouTube transcripts at once?
Yes. BulkTranscripts is designed specifically for bulk transcript extraction. Instead of processing videos individually, you can submit an entire channel or playlist.
Can I download one YouTube transcript?
Yes. BulkTranscripts supports individual video URLs in addition to channels and playlists.
Does BulkTranscripts work with TikTok?
